Wie man Jagd auf einen inaktiven Twitter-Account macht hat euch ja BloggingTom schon gezeigt.
Wie man nun den Namen Fachgerecht “zügelt” ist schnell erklärt:
Wie immer bevor ich Schäfchen zählen gehe, wird noch der letzte Blick in die Mailbox riskiert. Und siehe da Carol “Twitter Support Update..” war als ungelesen im Postfach! The reported account has been removed… ” Der Name @monah war somit frei 
*hüpf* aus dem Bett gerannt, Mac aus dem Schlaf geholt und ab zum aktiven @rhinnen Account. In die Einstellungen, Twittername von rhinnen auf monah gewechselt. Erledigt Alle Follower, alle Messages alles wurde 1 zu 1 übernommen.
Dann in einem zweiten “heimlich” angelegten Backup-Account (genau für diesen Fall bereits vor 2 Wochen eingerichtet) eingeloggt. Den Namen dieses Accounts auf @rhinnen umbenannt und einen Tweet gemacht “Bin neu unter @monah” erreichbar. Danke!” => Umzug erledigt
Jetzt werde ich mir morgen noch ein Autoreply Script besorgen, damit alle die auf @rhinnen schreiben einen RT bekommen dass ich neu unter @monah twittere 
Achja, verknüpfte und autorisierte Tools (wie Dailybooth, blip etc.) brauchen keine Anpassungen. Es funktioniert alles wie immer, auch mit neuem Namen dank der API.
Nicht vergessen die Profilanpassungen mit fixen Links:
- Xing Profil: Angepasst!
- Facebook Profil: Angepasst!
- WordPress Twitterplugin: Angepasst! (Sonst gehen keine automatischen Blog-Tweets raus)
- Alles was ich verpasst habe, linkt auf den zweit-Account. Dort ab und an mal rein schauen oder eben den Autoresponder aktivieren.

I have been running a non-commerical blog (http://haze.ch) for a long time and have been (for Swiss circumstances) quite successful with it. I have been with Twitter for a considerable amount of time as well and am very active, with serveral thousand tweets up to now. Unfortunately, the name @haze is not available on twitter anymore (which is why I use @rayhaze). The presently registered ‘owner’ of @haze has not been active in Twitter at all for a long time, as far as I can see. Question: Is there a possibility to transfer the coveted Twitter identity to me?
